Traffic Safety and Drop Off Maps
As with all schools, traffic safety is of upmost important at Haynes Street School. Please abide by the following rules and laws.
Be responsible and a good role model
for our children!
- Traffic flow around the school is in a clock-wise rotation.
- Please do not honk your horns around campus, it disturbs our neighbors.
- Drop off off and pick up in designated areas. The 1-3 Grade gate is on the South side of school, the 4-5 Grade gate is on the East side of the school.
- Do not Drop off or pick up in the bus parking area.
- Do not Drop off or pick up in the Staff Parking Lot.
- Come to a complete stop at all Stop Signs.
- Double Parking is dangerous and ILLEGAL. Do not stop outside of vehicles parked at the curb and have your kids go between the parked cars.
- Pulling to the curb against the flow of traffic is dangerous and ILLEGAL regardless of the time of day.
- Having your child Jaywalk with or without you is dangerous and ILLEGAL. Only cross the street at marked cross-walks.
- Do not hold up traffic, if there is not a spot available please circle the school.
- HANG UP your phone when around the school, even if it is hands-free.
- Do not block residential driveways.

The police will occasionally monitor
the school and cite violations. Obey all traffic and parking signs, stop fully at the stop signs, and be safe! |
